Wellington College Mixed-U18B vs  Bradfield College
On: Tuesday, 13 Nov 2018
Venue: Away

Win: 15 goals to 6.5.

Wellington's polo squad played their first fixture of the season v Bradfield at Emsworth Polo Grounds, home of Four Quarters Polo.

Our A/B team went on first against an unknown Bradfield team, and due to Lottie and Jakob's end of season handicap changes, both playing off 0 goals in the arena, Bradfield had a 2.5 goal lead over the 3 chukkas. Eager to get on the scoreboard, Jakob didn't take long to score his first goal ably supported by both Felix and Lottie, Lottie playing in the upper team for the first time. Lottie persevered and soon found herself on the scoreboard scoring her goal just before the hooter in the first chukka. Chukka 1 was dominated by Wellington but Bradfield came back in the second getting themselves on the scoreboard. Felix demonstrated his excellent game skills and reading of the game so was able to break away from Bradfield on many occasion thumping the ball down towards Wellington's goal and scored his first of three goals by the end of the second chukka. The scoreline did not deter Bradfield however and they continued to fight for the ball continuing to score in the last of the 3 chukkas. However, Jakob had been consistent and skilled throughout the game scoring 12 of Wellington's 15 goals, securing the overall win. Well played all!

Chukka 1: 6-0 (Samonig x5, Harper)

Chukka 2: 6-3 (Samonig x5, Hooper)

Chukka 3: 3-1 (Samonig x2, Hooper)
